TIA Technology held another Customer Advisory Board meeting on 20 October 2011. TIA Customer Advisory Board (TIA CAB) was established to gain market insight and get feedback on the overall strategy and direction of TIA Technology as a leading provider of software solutions for the insurance business. Over the years TIA CAB has become a valuable sparring partner for TIA Technology making a difference in TIA’s current product and service offerings as well giving input on the long-term roadmap.
Meeting TIA Management Team
CAB met TIA’s new management team represented by CEO, Liselotte Munk, and Vice President for Research & Development, Peter Braad Olesen.
At the opening of the meeting TIA Management Team was pleased to welcome Skogbrand as a new member to the TIA Community, and congratulated Univé on going live with TIA 6.0.
TIA Community Conference 2012
As part of the TIA Community News it has been announced that the next TIA Community Conference (TCC 2012) is well underway and is planned to be held in Malmö (Sweden) in September 2012. TIA CAB had the opportunity to evaluate this year’s TCC event and discuss plans and ideas for the next year’s arrangement.
Coming TIA Releases
TIA Technology confirmed that TIA 6.3 and TIA 6.4 are in good progress and will be released as planned. In particular, TIA 6.3 is currently being stabilized and will be released to market at the end of November 2011 (read more about the scope of TIA 6.3 here).
TIA Technology also announced that the prototyping on the first version of the new TIA release track, TIA 7.0, is coming to an end; the project is ready to go into the development phase and will be released to market next year. TIA 7.0 has a focus on improved usability, which includes delivering a modern user interface (UI) accompanied by the robust business functionality and latest proven technical platform. The new UI will be developed as an extension to the existing architecture, meaning that the current UI known to TIA Customers will still be available in TIA 7.0 and succeeding releases in the 7 track.
TIA Partners and Innovative Solutions
At the end of the meeting TIA Technology presented its initiatives for innovative add-ons being developed together with selected partners with the purpose of enhancing the functional capacity of the TIA Solution:
- iPad Sales Agent Solution – aimed at changing the dialogue between an insurance company and a customer by leveraging mobile technology.
- GIS Solution – aimed at enabling micro tariffing and easy claims handling by using geo spatial data and map technology.
The next CAB meeting is scheduled for 15 December 2011.
